“Homo Ludens”, Man the Player. This characteristic term, coined by the Dutch cultural historian, Johan Huizinga in 1938, encapsulates the conviction that play is a basic component of human behaviour and therefore a shaping factor of culture.
For this reason our vision of social living also includes this play factor. It should run like a guiding thread through almost all areas of life and should have the beneficial effect of uniting all generations.
Consequently we have play, exercise and experience offers for people of every age group in our programme.
